What HealthSource does

HealthSource is an iOS app and bridge service for connecting user-authorized Apple Health context to ChatGPT. The purpose is to let a user ask AI questions about their own sleep, recovery, HRV, vitals, and training history without turning the iOS app into a dashboard or chat wrapper.

Apple Health access

HealthSource requests read-only HealthKit permission for selected metrics. The app does not write to Apple Health. You can manage or revoke Health permissions at any time in iOS Settings.

Bridge data

When you tap sync, HealthSource sends the approved health context snapshot to the HealthSource bridge so ChatGPT can request it after you connect. The bridge stores the latest snapshot in an encrypted, replaceable form with pairing, session, and authorization metadata needed to make the connection work.

Pairing and authorization

HealthSource uses a short-lived pairing code to connect your iPhone sync to ChatGPT. ChatGPT receives access only after the pairing step succeeds, and the bridge exposes read-only context tools.

No silent upload

The MVP rule is explicit user action. HealthSource should not silently upload Apple Health data in the background. The user initiates connect and sync actions.

No tracking or secondary use

HealthSource does not use analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or third-party tracking SDKs. HealthKit data is not sold, rented, used for advertising, or repurposed for unrelated secondary use.

ChatGPT and other services

When you connect HealthSource to ChatGPT or provide health context to another service, that service's privacy policy and terms also apply to how it handles the information it receives.
